In life, we will be influenced by a person or something that comes to us at the right time to the point that it must be at that moment for it to appear and affect all our thoughts. The thing that impacted me personally and made me open another door to my life was reading.
The first time I read a book on my own was in 8th grade. However, it didn't help at the time and the book I read in 8th grade was indeed quite boring and tasteless. The second time I read the book was around the beginning of 2021. It was this time that I completely changed because I learned a lot of wonderful things. Books taught me to love myself more. Health is extremely important, even if you have a genius brain, but with a weak body with many diseases, it cannot provide enough energy for the brain to function effectively. Therefore, I know that I need to train my body every day, do exercises on Youtube every day, keep an appropriate weight, not be too overweight, and do not need fragile results. I know how to adjust my sleep time, no longer stay up too late until midnight.
The contents of the book made me change my mind and led to a change in my actions and words. In the past, I often thought negative, depressed. When I have a problem or have too many things to do at once, I get angry easily, and when I don't do all the things I am assigned to do, I tend to give up and everything turns out to be wrong as a result. utterly pathetic. Now, I know how to divide my time reasonably to solve the deadlines given by the lecturer, am open-minded, and more than that, dare to break my old limits. The book has shown me that changing a few words in my words will make my mood less uncomfortable, making my emotions lighter. For example, I would say "I'm learning." instead of "I failed." or "I prefer the other." instead of "I hate this."
Those are the things that books have taught me and reading books has greatly influenced my life, as well as helped me to turn another page, and reading can be considered a milestone that brings me closer to the role model that I admire.
